Harry Potter’s MAGIC WAND

A Harry Potters magician’s wand flies into Severn Street Masonic Hall in the form of a Director of Ceremonies Baton as part of an initiative to promote inter Lodge visiting.

This initiative is to stimulate members of all Craft Lodges at Severn Street to join in the camaraderie and share the life time fellowship that Masonry offers.

The “Visiting Baton ” is to be a coveted prize that any Craft Lodge can attain and whose possession can only be achieved when three (3) or more Master Masons of a Lodge visit another Seven Street Craft Lodge claim its ownership at the Third Rising and stay for the Festive Board.  The new owners hold the Baton for a maximum of six (6) months or unless and until another three (3) Master Masons visit their Lodge and lay claim to the ownership etc, etc.
If the Baton is not claimed within the six (6) month period ownership reverts to the Lodge next on the list.

A “Time Log” (shown below) will indicate the time the “Visiting Baton” is in that Craft Lodges possession and hopefully generate good humoured competition for its ownership and maybe generate some charitable funds along the way

The Baton is to be known as the "Ron Field Visiting Baton" in memory of the late W.Bro Ron Field and is sponsored by W.Bro Leek of Athol Lodge. A draw will take place to determine which Craft Lodge will be its first keeper.
In true Harry Potteresque fashion “….let the game begin and a winner can only be Masonry……”
